“Kick Start Keyboards Course” for total beginners, running Feb. Half-term

Kick Start Keyboards- This February half-term
A fun three-day school holiday course for new beginning piano or electronic keyboard students. This program is a great way for your child to sample piano lessons before they enrol for weekly lessons!

Students will learn about keyboard geography, rhythms, playing music as a group, theory games, performing familiar songs, reading notation, playing basic chords, operating electronic instruments…. and more!!

This is a six hour course, the dates and times are:

Tuesday 17th February 9:30- 11:30am

Wednesday 18th February 9:30- 11:30am

Thursday 19th February 9:30- 11:30am

There are a maximum of 6 places on the course, and all students will have full use of a digital piano or keyboard for the whole session time. The couse is suitable for ages 8-15 years.

The course fee is £45 per person, and all materials are included.

Grade 5 Popular Music Theory Classes

Friday 30th January- Popular Music Theory Classes start.

Grade 5 theory is complosory for any instrumentalists who want to take advanced grades (grades 6-8).

Classes will also be available for other grades subject to demand.

Popular music theory exams will be held on June 20th 2009.

Free Trial Lessons For Young Children Saturday January 17th

Saturday 17th January- I am running several trial lessons for young children. These can be booked via the website: http://www.kweststudios.co.uk or by calling me on 01934 517 517.

Lesson times are as follows:

1:30- 2:30pm- Dogs and Birds trial class, a keyboard based introduction to music for 4 & 5 year olds (students must be accompanied by a parent for the whole lesson).

2:30-3:30pm- Keyboard Corner- Beginners class for 6 year olds.

3:30-4:30pm- Keyboard Corner- Beginners class for 7 year olds.

4:30- 5:30pm- Beginners class for 8 year olds.
