Exams January 2008
Leave a CommentEveryone currently preparing for an exam should have recieved the following note:
The next exam session will be held between the 11th and the 18th January 2007- the exact date will not be confirmed until two weeks before the exam. Please don’t enter if you have any holidays/commitments during that period as the exam board never refund fees. Please note exams also usually take place during school hours so you must be willing to miss school/work and able to get to the studios during the day.
If you wish to enter, all fees must be paid before Friday 1st December. Please make cheques payable to Kwest Studios, as I need to send only one cheque covering everybody to the exam board.
Exam fees are as follows (Jazz, Electronic Keyboard and Piano have the same pricing):
Prepreparatory: £19.50
Step One: £20.50
Step Two: £21.50
Grade One: £26.00
Grade Two: £31.00
Grade Three: £34.00
Grade Four: £36.50
Grade Five: £39.50
Grade Six: £46.50
Ensemble One: £35.50 Per Group
Ensemble Two: £41.50 Per Group
Special Introductory Keyboard Course for Autumn Half-Term

Leave a Comment Kwest Studios is running a special introductory course for keyboard and piano this half term. The course is suitable for 10-13* year olds who have never played before and will cover all the basics of learning to play in a fun and active way.
The course will cover the basics of reading sheet music (Treble clef notes and basic rhythmic patterns), simple chords to accompany your playing, and how to operate an electronic keyboard (e.g. setting sounds and rhythms). Students will have the opportunity to play ensemble pieces and solos.
The course will run on Monday 22nd October at 9:30-11:00am and Tuesday 23rd October (9:30-11:00am)- participants must attend both sessions. The cost of the course is £15 per person. There are 6 places on the course- so book early!
